Piri Piri Chicken and Cauliflower Rice

245g Chicken Breast- ensure fat is cut off

60g of grated cauliflower

20g of Sliced Cucumber

125g of Natural Yogurt (half of your dairy allowance)

1tsp garlic powder

1tsp coriander

1 tsp Paprika

1tsp Dried Oregano

1 tsp Ground Ginger

1 tsp Ground Cardamon

1/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper

Mix the Piri Piri spice mix together

Add to the natural yogurt and mix well

Marinate the chicken breast in the natural yogurt for 2 hours or overnight if you wish

Once marinated you can either grill or oven bake the chicken breast. Personally I used my george foreman grill for 10 minutes

Whilst the chicken is cooking I prefer to do a quick stir fry of cauliflower rice

Add the coriander and garlic powder to the cauliflower rice to give it a bit of flavour

Serve with the chopped cucumber

Jelly Pong Pong Glow Getter- Review

Jelly Pong Pong Glow Getter- Review

I’ve been receiving BirchBox since March 2015 and so far it’s the highlight of my month- and i’m going to review just that, a highlighter!

Jelly Pong Pong Glow Getter- £8.95

Jelly Pong Pong Glow Getter- £8.95

I know what you’e thinking! When i first got this out of the box I didn’t even think to check what it was as I assumed it was a nice modern nail varnish. It wasn’t until I actually tried it on as a nail varnish…the penny dropped! I love the shape though and the brush, it’s easy to apply and means you can ‘dab’ rather than rub in.

I apply it on my brow bones, above cheekbones and then on my cupids bow to help accentuate my lips. Applied lightly this product is quite thick so doesn’t require a heavy use and used in moderation- means it could last for ages! It’s oil-free and made with 80 percent water, which gives it an incredibly lightweight texture that also won’t clog pores.

This all comes down to personal preference. Sometimes it’s great not to have products that smell as they can often irritate sensitive skin with the products in them. However I do like a makeup that has a slight scent and this doesn’t have that- so make of you what with this! Better still, this gel is hypoallergenic and free of mineral oil, phthalates, triclosan, and sulfates.

Cambridge Shame-bridge

I’ve been on the Cambridge Weight Plan for 6 weeks.

Yet I’ve been overweight/obese for as long as I can remember and certainly been 16stone+ most of my adult life. This is who I am and how I’ve defined myself, that i’m simply the big girl.

Me aged 8

Aged 25 in Texas

I’ve tried other diets in the past, slimming world and weight watchers along with slim fast, calorie counting etc. As any person you loose a little weight and yet you loose motivation and the change isn’t quick or sustainable.

Until now..

It would be quite extreme of me to say the Cambridge diet has changed my life in 6 weeks, but right now that is exactly how I feel. What I have learnt about myself has been eye-opening and certainly evaluated my relationship with food. I feel this is a change I can make for the rest of my life and I am ENJOYING it, did you hear that? I am not finding this hard at all and have surprised myself how reducing food intake has helped.

I’m on step 2 and have been since I started plan. This involves 3 products a day and then a 200kcl meal of protein and 80g of veg. If you check out my recipes page here you will see the meals I make and my reviews of them…cause after all it’s how they taste that makes the difference!

The Online community for CWP has been outstanding and is quite literally a lifeline for questions, support and celebrating/commiserating.

I hope to discuss and blog my journey with CWP and share with you my (hopeful!) transformation from the fat girl to the skinnie annie 🙂
